The main problem was overlong pages, which would overprint the headers/footers, and sometimes lead to missing material in the page breaks. Also odd font sizes, so large that headings occluded the main text, or so small as to be difficult to read yet squeezing the text into a narrow column. Occasionally, printing all the main text on (an overflowing) page one, but continuing the marginal text down the sides of subsequent (but otherwise blank) pages. > Improvements? The biggest improvement came, IIRC, with the introduction of that Print overlay panel that has the pageable preview on the left and the controls on the right. (Previously, selecting Print would only display a little progress bar/percentage as it printed.) Cheers, David.
