It looks as if the file indeed does not exist when you inquire it. So if it got created by the script, maybe it was deleted or renamed shortly afterwards and created again 30 seconds later ? Consider to inquire the file in the script for birth time and inode number immediately after it was created. Compare these properties with the properties of the file which you see 30 seconds later.
