I'm trying to do an install from the CD's. During base system install getting this error from CD #1
file:/instmnt/pool/main/n/nano/nano_1.0.6-3_i386.deb was corrupt
Do I need an replacement CD or can I get past this some other way?
thanks
No HTML please. I ran into a similar problem. You should have known CD #1 was bad because the md5sums do not match.
I wrote a script to cover that case by comparing each md5sum of each deb. That way I know exactly what is bad.
You might do the same. I found these 3:
md5s DO NOT match for hlatex-fonts-base_0.991-2_all.deb 87 CD2 md5sum on CD is: c1880f42bf0fde961b3abd0c6a33bd53 88 md5sum found is: 3c3ffca0bc517375c6b860d67ab31116 89 md5s DO NOT match for openafs-client_1.2.3final2-6_i386.deb 87 CD3 md5sum on CD is: fead4fb0df392ca7b092d4d53ff96c49 88 md5sum found is: 0c5511b30c38a8078abbf004af15964c 89 md5s DO NOT match for aspell-fr_0.1-3-4_i386.deb 87 CD7 md5sum on CD is: dae6b3de15c6b8cffd4073f7b31b60f0 88 md5sum found is: 798dcc58a549b3515f8ccb636a2eb674 89
And the bad ones you get from the stable mirror in your sources list.
Hugo.
