This is a complete straw man. If you want people to be aware of some essential bit of information, a redundancy of sources is beneficial. That's why information campaigns *disseminate* information in a number of media, and in a number of ways. There is no rationality behind imposing a mutual exclusivity in this case; to the contrary, experience would argue against it.
