The forums at http://badcaps.net/ has all the HOWTOs for DIY. More often than not, a dead PS does not kill the motherboard, but it is certainly a significant possibility. How old is yours? What model? Power supply brand? -- Evolution as taught in public schools, like religion, is based on faith, not on science.
