Not necessarily, nearly all writers of Windows software believe that they own your computer while their software is running on it. It's a particular mindset, which seems to have propagated to Android. I don't know about iOS. It's one of the main reasons I use Linux where possible. Where not possible, I try to use Windows versions of OS Linux software e.g. LibreOffice, or written by well-known people like Simon Tatham. -- Joe
