I'm using a slightly different configuration, with the suffix configured in the host[1]. In the IPv6 Settings tab of the connection try setting the "Method" to "Automatic, DHCP only". The default appears to be "Automatic" which could also imply SLAAC. [1] this must be done in the configuration file, at least on buster it's not exposed in the GUI connection editor.
