I've check intels website
(https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005511/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html)
and firmware-iwlwifi. But both of these packages only have the microcode for
up to version 48.
Am i missing something?
Yes some reasonable description.
What wlan device is in your "modern" inspiron? Do you think everybody has the
spec in their head?
So please post the output of
hwinfo --wlan
And what did you do to install the firmware? Did you include non-free in your
sources? Did you install
the firmware from there? Exactly what did you install?
All they need is a file. If you don't know the answer don't give them
the 3rd degree.
