I think the subnet mask should be 255.255.0.0 at the least, more usually 255.255.255.0. See RFC 1597 - http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1597.html. An IP address of 192.168.x.x with subnet mask 255.0.0.0 implies that 192.anything is on your network. But only 192.168.anything is actually reserved for private use.
