Hi, Ken. If confirmed, it would be the first laptop I know of that has mono sound. It looks like it is stereo, though: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/CA/content/model/NX.GNVAA.030
Are you sure it is not a defective connector? Or the first cable right out of the laptop?
