And, from the peanut gallery, if you use a GUI (for instance, apper, which I don't know if it still exists in Buster, for example), and search for exfat, it would tell you the packages that are available / needed for exfat (i.e., - fuse and -utils). (Aside: apper works fine for me in Wheezy. It still exists in Jessie, but has some kind of permission problem that I've never bothered to dig into -- it will search for packages, but it won't install them and doesn't prompt me for a password, it just displays a message that starts: ~"You have failed to provide proper authorization." (from memory, as I'm on the Wheezy system, not the Jessie). So, at that point, I use apt-get with the displayed package names (or things like apt-get update and upgrade).
