Vim and Emacs both qualify. Are there other editors? (yes, a bit
tongue-in-cheek ;-P

FWIW, I (somewhat strongly) disagree with Michael here. I'm a
strong proponent of Postel's principle (both sides!). But I do
know theres the exactly opposite position. That's life.
