curty@einstein:~$ locate vinagre-file.desktop /usr/share/applications/vinagre-file.desktop It seems a desktop file should either reside in (user specific) ~/.local/share/applications or (global) /usr/share/applications/ You must have another one somewhere with the '-F %U' business in it; I'm just now realizing that that combination of letters does indeed invoke to puerile minds such as my own the royal snafu in spades.
