Ah, I thought you were aware of what it was printing. It was printing "Bus error" over the top of its normal output, which was presumably something about "Package". Hence "Bus errorackage". If everything works now then it seems quite likely that apt was getting a bus error because of your filesystem(s) being full. That's a pleasing outcome since now you don't have to test your memory, power supply, etc etc!
