Had to wait until today to see a message come in with the problem. Now the text is completely gone. It's not just hidden, it's gone (can't click inside the text area and select (or Ctrl-A) anything). Weird. It's not a big deal currently, as the only messages it seems to be affecting are message threads coming from Facebook (the profile pix are still at the edge of each comment in the email message, but no text), which I can read on Facebook. But it definitely is odd (and could create problems later on more legitimate messages). But I'm not terribly worried about it at the moment. Still, if anyone has any other suggestions, I'm open. Oh, btw, setting the hinting back to "Slight" does not return things to the way they were; the text is still missing from those messages. Maybe I have to restart Chromium (although I don't believe I restarted it since I changed the hinting to None)? > Max > > -- Kent West <")))>< Westing Peacefully - http://kentwest.blogspot.com
