Oh, I'm familiar with the usual character of such things; that's why I don't usually bother to read any thread he starts (or even necessarily is involved in). When the initial question seems simple and clear enough to address, however, I sometimes take the risk of stepping in. Sometimes it does in fact turn out to be that simple; other times, I regret the decision. In this case, despite being in a new thread with no reference to (even the existence of) any previous one made in the initial post, this appears to have been a new episode in an ongoing serial of some sort.
