what is referred here as firmware is the bios of the computer - upgrade. the missing atheros firmware is not related to the ACPI error - you can install the missing firmware either via debian package or from the vendor. install: $ apt-cache search firmware-atheros firmware-atheros - Binary firmware for Atheros wireless cards regards
