Then throw in the smart phones. Over the past five+ years all I've used has been an android. This (Evolution) is the first Desktop GUI I've used in an even longer time. As far as IMAP goes, with Evolution as a GUI, you can delete the gmail archive. Way too time consuming from any GMAIL offering.
