I used to have to skirt the windy city to get where I was going in the north country, the UP, until I discovered the Macinack bridge at the north end of US-23. Now I can drive in peace and its a 100 miles shorter. I would not visit the gun crime capital of this country if they deeded me the thing for a dollar. And I'll be damned if I spend time in the IL hoosegow because they don't recognize the concealed carry permit I've had for going on 20 years. I'd have it up for sale on ebay a half hour later, starting bid 50 cents. Yeah, thats how bad I'd be willing to take a loss on it. > Weirdos like me helped make your software universe Old Man > You should be on your knees to me d00d :-D > > On Thu, Feb 15, 2018 at 1:41 PM, Nicholas Geovanis > > <nickgeova...@gmail.com> wrote: > > On Thu, Feb 15, 2018 at 8:38 AM, Greg Wooledge <wool...@eeg.ccf.org> wrote: > >> The concept of computers being in > >> fixed locations with fixed names so that you can, y'know, FIX them, > >> is probably completely alien to you. > >> And I bet you don't care. This is the debian user list, where the general theme is to make your "oh look, a pony" sw work, or fix it by pointing out sw that does work. And stay the heck out of the way of those who are actually trying to help. -- Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
