yes. /dev/hdc.

i symlikned it to /dev/cdrom. hm, maybe i shouldn't have ...

so, trying to soft-link /dev/dvd to /dev/hdc instead of /dev/cdrom
makes things break even more. now i'm confuling myself about this ...
