Hi, I have Seagate backup plus external USB 3.0 HDD and by default hdd temp does not show the hdd temperature
$ sudo hddtemp /dev/sda /dev/sda: Seagate BUP BK: S.M.A.R.T. not available However if I use this: $ sudo hddtemp SATA:/dev/sda /dev/sda: : 42°C I tried to read through the manual to find out how to specify the type in the hddtemp.db but there doesnot seem to be any way I could find. I added this line in vain. "Seagate BUP BK" 190 C "Seagate BUP BK" Is there a way to monitor hddtemp on this hdd ? If there is any other alternative to hddtemp .. please do tell me thanks Bhasker C V
