Debian's WordPress installs into /usr/share/wordpress. I thought it wasn't a good idea to have user-changeable files in the /usr partition, so apparently I copied the /usr/share/wordpress to another location. While the original Debian install has been updated over the past year that my site has been sitting unused, the copy has not, so when I got back around to working with it this week, I'm using the older copy apparently (or some mish-mash of old and new). I should be able to sort this out. But if I still have your attention, what are the pros/cons to leaving the Wordpress installation in the /usr/share directory? As the WordPress admin changes themes, etc, he's tinkering with the Debian "system". Also, might other users tinker with the files there in some fashion (making comments on blog articles, using the membership plugin to add an account, etc)? Doesn't it make more sense to have such user-changeable files on the /home directory or someplace similar outside of "the system"?
