It depends much on the entrails of the ISO and its boot sector equipment. You may be lucky and find El Torito pointing to an ISOLINUX bootloader prepared to start a GNU/Linux. In that case, treatment of the ISO by SYSLINUX program "isohybrid" would make it ready for USB stick. Is the ISO publicly available for download and inspection ? Have a nice day :) Thomas
