I'd also like to recommend "The Linux Cookbook: Tips and Techniques for Everyday Use", 2nd Edition, by Michael Stutz. This is a hard-copy book, and to the best of my knowledge is not available online. The first edition of the book is available online here: http://www.dsl.org/cookbook/cookbook_toc.html The first edition is getting dated, but there is still a lot of useful information in it. Rather than being organized as a list of commands and parameters, it is organized in a task-oriented fashion. (Oh, you want to do *that*! Here, type this ...) -- .''`.
