So I'd like to prose a compromise that recognizes the folks still on dialup and at dialup speeds. Possibly paying by the minute for access.
Some pay by the byte even with high bandwidth. Not attaching binaries is about not being wasteful generally, including not archiving items whose usefulness doubtless will expire long before the archive. It's not too much to ask those asking for help to expend a bit of effort in order to not waste the resources of hundreds or thousands of recipients and their input pipelines.
