purged?... How does it work, then?

My sound has just stopped working, I don't know why. Here's what I have:

# ps -AFH | grep -i pulse
stf 1014 1 0 93560 10208 0 10:01 ? 00:00:02
/usr/bin/pulseaudio --start
stf 1098 1 0 1082 108 1 10:01 ? 00:00:00
/bin/sh /usr/bin/start-pulseaudio-x11
root 1420 1412 0 3852 2252 0 10:10 pts/2 00:00:00
  grep -i pulse

Neither stf nor other users have the sound.

Yesterday everything was fine.
