I tried the base installation with jessie images running under QEMU. Tried current CD and netinst images. The base installation fails with messages visible in /var/log/syslog. debootstrap: /var/cache/apt/archives/dmidecode_2.12-3_i386.deb debootstrap: /var/cache/apt/archives/traceroute_1%3a2.0.20-2+b1_i386.deb Reference: http://easthope.ca/DebootstrapFailure.jpg Has anyone tried this method of installation?
