That works! I thank you for taking the trouble to write up a detailed procedure; that was a great help for my sleepy head at 2 am. The only additional thing for which I had to google was the procedure for modifying PATH. I write and use bash scripts almost daily, but this is the first time I have needed to include the rest of the command line (the file name); I was not sure that that could be done in bash. RLH
