I reran cruft and it still reports that library as a missing package. But when I run the command you (Bob Proulx) showed me:

> dpkg -L libept1.4.12 | grep libept.so.1.0.5.4.12

...the library shows up in the listing as installed. This appears to be an issue with cruft.

Honestly, I don't like a program that lists /boot/grub/x86_64-efi/grub.efi as a "questionable" file, along with about a thousand other files that don't look all that questionable. Is there a better tool for the purposes that cruft is normally used for? (You've told me some things I can do but are there others?)

Deb

P.S.: cruft no longer lists the broken symlinks I listed in my orignal post. I haven't run update and upgrade so I don't know what gives.
