Having done some research on my problem with Samba 4.1.17 as provided by
Debian Jessie, it seems that it is documented as bug 10604 on the Samba
bugzilla. It looks as though the Debian providers should fix their version
of Samba with the appropriate patch.
My access to shares problem disappears if the winbind daemon is turned
off, though I still have problems printing from a Windows 7 machine.
