Not in the slightest rude. I'm sorry I can't help you get the firmware onto the stick; it's something I will need to do in the future but just haven't had time to figure it out (so I was going to watch for replies to this thread). But my workaround (to reduce bandwidth as much as I could) would be to install with firmware-netinst as far as the first reboot and then use the DVD you've got from then on.
