I vaguely recall fighting with the partitioning stage at one point in the past but I think the 7.7 netinst I tried recently was much improved. There might be one particular step which is tripping Gene up, and once the "oh! duh! <slaps forehead>" moment passes, he'll be right. Is there a local Linux User Group in your area? You could mention this, and I bet there would be someone who would be keen to see what the trouble is, i.e. sort it out in a hand holding manner or confirm that there is some peculiarity with what you are trying to achieve. -- "If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." --- Malcolm X -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
