I've had varying levels of success and/or frustration connecting my
consumer electronics devices to various computers via USB over the
years. If the device has a removable memory card (SD, micro SD, etc.),
the most reliable method I've found is to pull the memory card, plug it
into a USB adapter, and plug the adapter it to a computer.
