and there's only two versions which everyone uses: development, and
production.
So bring out the FUD scaremongering and make sure everybody panicks
when a new piece of software is "rolled out into production." Please!

Well said Zenaan. The only problem I see with systemd is that it doesn't
transport to operating systems I don't use. If people want to port it to
Hurd, BSD or whatever, go for it, but don't use that as an excuse to
delay improving Linux.
