If you edit /lib/udev/net.agent and change do_everything > /dev/null 2> /dev/null & to ( do_everything ) > /dev/null 2> /dev/null & is the delay gone? -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
