Hi Brian,
the 2 links above showed me that it's useless to make a new bug report,
although the bug is not fixed, 20 months later.
I checked that the problem actually occurs only with the Logitech
Unifying Receiver. I tried several USB keyboards, and the settings
from /etc/default/keyboard were actually applied, for both console and X11.
I'll then stick to my modified Xsetup script.
