As far as I can see, Long Wind is the only person who _does_ think that. No-one has persuaded him to run one. He says that he tried to boot Knoppix 7, but it failed (??). He may have tried to boot the DVD of Knoppix 7.x, which might well fail due to lack of memory. A complete inability to run any form of Linux sounds to me more likely to be PEBKAC than anything else, given that he reckons that the hardware is O.K.
