systemctl disable kdm works fine here, and shows the sysvinit command that it runs for me: Executing /usr/sbin/update-rc.d kdm disable > 4) > When I startup with systemd, kdm auto-starts, even though I've run > step 1) above. > KDM does not start automatically with sysvinit, only with systemd. > This looks like a bug. This could be classified I guess as PEBKAC, since the "proper" way to disable kdm service (in sysvinit) was not done by me. update-rc.d kdm disable seems to have changed kdm to K01kdm - not sure why the K-number would have such a significant bearing on systemd's startup ... Probably only a "feature enhancement request" type bug for this one, however, should systemd become "official debian default", a lot of others may strike this issue on their next upgrade (conjecture of course). > 5) > Step 4) would not be so much of a problem, but as I explained in a > separate thread that I began, when kdm is started and I log in to XFCE > that way, my window manager keyboard shortcuts do NOT work. There's a separate thread for this one. I'll leave it to that thread. Thanks Zenaan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
