When I installed tvtime to work with saa7134 driver, I had no sound, but I solved this issue installing oss-compat package (Debian Wheezy 7.0 stable). Be sure this package is installed. My system uses gnome and alsa, tvtime uses oss, this package bind both sound systems, alsa and oss.
