Why?
I've managed to have Samba working for Windows clients and I think
there could be several reasons. In no particular order, some might be:
- Security: Share or User?
- Domain Master: Auto or No?
- Valid users: which users are valid?
- Guest ok: Yes or No?
Other Debian machines may be working ok especially if all the machines
have identical sets of usernames but in my experience that is harder
to arrange for a Windows machine. (You don't mention using any
single-sign-on system of any kind).
Samba will log attempts by every machine; what does Samba's log for
the Windows machine access attempt say?
Posting a few of the more-relevant settings from /etc/samba/conf might
reveal other possible sources for problems. It's a long file, though,
in its default state.
But check the logs first, and post why Samba is denying the access.
