AFAIK for PA issues it's more likely, that something completely doesn't work. Hard to say, where to start troubleshooting. Does your sound card share an IRQ with your mouse or keyboard? # cat /proc/interrupts If we found out what's going wrong, there are a lot of things you could do, or there's nothing you can do. Unfortunately I don't now much about PA. Does it provide to use audio IOs of both cards at the same time?
