Uhm... yes. And if you read that thread you will notice that I did already post the first response in it. :-) I did even mention modifying the init scripts as one possible way. It was my first suggestion. That case is actually a good example of a case where I saw no reason to manage init scripts in it. That doesn't mean I think that modifying the start links is wrong. There is more than one way to do it. It just means that *I* wouldn't do it in that case. It doesn't need it. And so I am still looking for a good case example for it. :-) Bob
