deb cdrom:[my product installation cd]/ squeeze main
I can mount this cd perfectly using "$ sudo apt-cdrom add" and I can
see cdrom contents under /media/cdrom/

Have you tried "sudo dpkg -i /media/cdrom/MYPACKAGE"
