I installed ambiance theme in wheezy (from:

all other aspects of the theme are working except the windows
decoration (does not change, last used border remains) . Any ideas to
fix this problem.
Thank you,
Madhu
Hum, I just did a wrong manipulation, so, it is possible that an
unfinished mail precedes this one.
I was simply saying that I do not know very well the linux graphical
layers, but, AFAIK, it is possible to simplify it like that:
_ linux kernel and it's drivers
_ graphical server (probably Xorg but could be wayland)
_ the window manager you are using
_ your desktop environment if present (might be KDE, Gnome, XFCE, LXDE
or many others) which sometimes provides the window decorator
It sounds like your problem is located between the window manager and
the desktop environment. I do not think it will help a lot, but it could
give you areas to search, I am not really able to think more for now,
sorry :)
