After a couple of interminable waits with "Waiting for headers" messages, I finally get: "Fetched 8,550 kB in 48min 31s (2,936 B/s) W: Failed to fetch http://ftp.au.debian.org/debian/dists/unstable/Release.gpg: Connection failed [IP: 202.158.214.106 80] E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead. E: Couldn't rebuild package cache Current status: 26 updates [+26], 35845 new [+35845]." Which shows some promise. I also get "untrusted packages" messages however.
