$ man apt-get remove remove is identical to install except that packages are removed instead of installed. Note the removing a package leaves its configuration files in system. If a plus sign is appended to the package name (with no intervening space), the identified package will be installed instead of removed. purge purge is identical to remove except that packages are removed and purged (any configuration files are deleted too). This metapackage installs all components of libreoffice: * libreoffice-writer: Word processor * libreoffice-calc: Spreadsheet * libreoffice-impress: Presentation * libreoffice-draw: Drawing * libreoffice-base: Database * libreoffice-math: Equation editor * libreoffice-filter-mobiledev: Mobile Devices filters You need to remove or purge those packages. Those packages can't depend to the metapackage, since some users perhaps don't want to install all packages ;), just the metapackage is dependent to all of those packages. http://packages.debian.org/sid/libreoffice Regards, Ralf -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
