I expected that it will match the source file time and that the time
listed on the source files are already one timezone different.  For
whatever reason.

I agree that it is an A-B difference and an A-B comparison between the
two would eventually lead to the difference.  But actually doing that
comparison is tedious because there are so many differences.

Your suggestion is certainly plausible that nautilus changes the
timestamp to match the exif timestamp.  It makes more sense than my
thought of having the files mounted with a different timezone in some
way.
