It will bring up Icedove. How do I get that header info to Mutt?
I think most people would simply send an email with the same subject and break the thread. But I am glad that yoiu are not most people. If you look at the links on that page you will see this: <a href="mailto:debian-user@lists.debian.org?In-Reply-To=<20120723050342.GA17619@phobos>&Subject=Re:%20linux cash register software, i.e, a simple point of sale?">debian-user@lists.debian.org</a> By looking at that you can see what you need to do to construct a correct reply that includes the headers to thread the message. To: debian-user@lists.debian.org Subject: Re: linux cash register software, i.e, a simple point of sale? In-Reply-To: <20120723050342.GA17619@phobos> In mutt simply set up the In-Reply-To field as shown. In mutt you can use the 'E' key to edit-headers "edit the message with headers" which will bring up the message in an editor. Adjust the headers appropriately. You can incorporate quoted text from the previous message. Craft it as you like. Send your message. With the In-Reply-To and Subject set properly it will all look normal and thread into the discussion normally. With proper options you can set up mutt to be your mailto handler. I haven't bothered to do this for myself though. Bob
