That article, while still useful, - mentions non-US which has been discontinued long time ago (sarge?) - uses sources + pinning by release not code-name[1] [1] this may be due to a bug in apt where pinning by codename was not possible, fixed in the meantime (lenny?). I seem to remember the Debian Reference has a good guide to pinning and it is up-to-date (thanks to Osamu Aoki).
