~250mb Redhat install for me (back in RH 5.0 days). Granted, it might have taken me 3-4x longer than others because I went through and hand-selected, or de-selected, every possible package I wanted or didn't want, but I'm a "miser" when it comes to disk space. :-) Of course, if I un-selected something "required", it would get added back in automatically.
